Cost of an Effective website

This article on websites costs lists different types of sites and associated budgets, and shows you what separates an effective website from an ineffective one.

STOP - if you are looking for a site under 5K.

If you are looking for a full business website for less than $5,000 that is not something we can help you with, though we do offer a kamaaina rate. Most companies in the U.S. are not able to design and develop an effective site for that budget. If you are just starting up and have to cut corners it might be best to test the waters with a website builder like Squarespace, Wix, etc. and when your business outgrows them let us know!

Types of websites

One Page/Landing Page

This is a one page site that people often reach when they click on an ad or email. Although these pages can be lenghty there is not a lot of content. The simple goal of the site is to motivate the user to sign up for an offer, call a number or download a file. All the content is structured to get the user to complete this goal. Because of the focus of this type of site the costs tend to be less.

Budget: $2,500-$4,000+

Small-Business Informational

This is the most common type of business website. It usually has 6-12 pages. The normal type of content is: Home, About, Team, Mission/Vision, Services, Press, Testimonials, Blog, News, Contact. We usually create these sites with Wordpress or Concrete5 and custom the design and features based upon your needs.
